INGREDIENTS: Distilled Water, Calendula, Chamomile and Comfrey Extracts, Aloe Vera Gel, Sorbitol, Vegetable Glycerine, Grapeseed Oil, D-alpha Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Cetyl Alcohol, Polawax, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), MSM, Sodium Borate, Grapefruit Seed Extract and Potassium Sorbate as preservative.
HISTORY: Calendula is a common garden annual with hairy stem and leaves with brilliant orange single flowers with multiple daisy-like florets. While it is native to Egypt, the Middle East and Mediterranean Europe, it can now be found throughout the world. Since the flowers are edible, it is also found in culinary gardens. Calendula is one of the best known plants in Western herbal medicine and has enjoyed a long medicinal history dating back to the early cultures of the Middle East and Indian sub-continent. Its colorful flowers were thought to lift spirits and encourage cheerfulness.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Calendula has anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties. As with traditional uses Calendula cream is used externally to manage superficial wounds, minor scalds, and skin abrasion.
