HISTORY: Hawthorn is a thorny deciduous tree native to Europe, where it was often grown as hedges reaching heights of 8m or 25ft. Various species of Hawthorn have been used traditionally for their healing powers by many different cultures. In Europe, Hawthorn is considered to be an important medicinal herb, used to treat heart, blood, kidney, and memory disorders.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Used to treat conditions resulting from heart or circulatory problems. It has also been used to treat such conditions as asthma, diabetes, nervous tension, anxiety and kidney stones. Under the supervision of a trained health-care provider, Hawthorn products are used for cardiovascular conditions, particularly mild congestive heart failure and hypertension.

PROPERTIES: Anti-spasmodic, astringent, diuretic, hypotensive, nutritive, sedative, tonic, vasodilator.

DOSAGE: 5 - 20 drops three times daily.
